You could tell yourself that if you do not walk or exercise you will be less fit and even fall ill more frequently. Exercise begets exercise, meaning that the more you do it the more your body wants it. You will sleep better, making you more eager the next day. Come to love your work, whatever that is, and you are far more likely to do it without forcing yourself to do so. Having some sort of overall purpose makes things easier to do. Ask yourself, "What do I want out of of my life? Where am I going?" I will give some examples from my own life. When I was young I postponed carrying out a lot of doings. Now I do so very seldom because I have realized that things left undone are a great burden on your mind and your day. I sleep poorly when I have not done what I should have done, and I like to sleep soundly. Think too about why you have fallen into the habit of proscratination. Introspection may not be the total cure but it may get you half way to your goal. The proverb says, "Procrastination is the thief of time."

I personally believe my procrastination problem (not getting up and eating breakfast 15 minutes ago - instead answering questions) is linked to my blood sugar imbalance. I was hypoglycemic, then flipped - and am now diabetic.
Low blood sugar makes one feel less peppy, less self-confident, and thus one puts things off until 1) one feels better; 2) one hits a time crunch, pushing adrenaline into the system due to fear of consequences of lack of time. Adrenaline helps boost blood sugar.
Check out the symptoms link at www.hufa.org to see if you have any other symptoms of low blood sugar.

Procrastinate all you want, but try not to feel bad about yourself. You'll have to do the job in the end anyway. Another idea is to make yourself believe that you really want to do what you have to do. Jump up with enthusiasm and dive into the job with gusto. This way, you are creating a positive mood that you don't have in reality - but it works the same.

i used to be extremely lasy and used to put off every single thing.... then i found out i was losing out on a lot of things and i was living on the edge everytime by doing things on the day it was due... i tried several times to become active, then i became lazy again...
then i found out one way... actually a two step process... the state of your mind is directly related to your physical status... i used to be lazy to do exercise.. then i made some of my best friends to join the gym with me... even if i was lazy or demotivated to join, i would somehow get the enthusiasm to go there just to meet my friends... even if i wasn't doing the exercises at the beginning very well, just to impress my friends(and one hot chick in the gym ;-) i started to doing properly...
then i found out that i was able to concentrate more and also i got hungry at the right times and took proper food.... this way i was sticking to a schedule
then i started putting reminders on my cellphones for everything... i would not dismiss it, but rather put irt on snooze.. so it would keep reminding me until i actually did it....
now i am much better physically and mentally....
you may try yoga, gym, badminton, swimming... which ever you have remotely an interest in....

You put this question up, so it should be obvious. Plus you effort is to answer a question you already determined is by choice not to do something that moment and do it later. Hey you can be the first to do things or the last or in some cases never. It's your choice. Procrastinate, do, don't do, it's whatever and your consequences.

Try to make a schedule of activities and follow it religously. Then set a goal in mind that you will finish the activities for the day. It will be hard at first but it will be a routine in no time.

i think excercise is the best i was such a fat and sloppy procrastinating bastard and then when i was in the military i was forced to wake up early and excercise etc.. and i felt great about my self, but then i got out of the military and now im back to being a fat and sloppy, so basically start excercising and dont quit once you start, and dont over work your self ethier
