I will try and make this story short. I went to a cook out 18 years ago, alot of people were there, i walked over and started talking to a small group standing around, a woman who wasnt very attractive at all was in this group, as the night went on, she and I had a great time talking and instantly became friends, as the weeks went by she and i would talk over the phone, the weeks grew into months, one night I called, no answer, the next day she called, and started talking about a date she had went on the night before, i was heart broken, then is when i realized I had started liking her more than friends,, I had spent alot of time thinking she was someone i wouldnt date because at the time i didnt think she was very pretty. Long story short... She and I have been married 15 years now, and to me shes the most beautiful woman on earth...
So I would have to pick brains......If going by looks, you could let the best thing that could of ever happened to you, pass by.... I almost did.

The biological FACTS are this: beauty is an indicator of HEALTH. I would choose a girl that I was attracted to that was just as smart or smarter than I was. The smartest woman in the world, Marie Von Savant (who is also the smartest person in the world) is actually a very attractive woman - beauty and brains are NOT mutually exclusive.

Most men would take looks, because they don' think with their head. But you just don't marry a woman just because she has brains. It has to be somewhere in the middle I would marry a woman I love and love to be with no matter what she looked like or how smart she is. The key is That you love to be with her.

Fran, I would definitely choose neither of them. Rather, I would move ahead to look for a gurl that has the combination of both looks and brains. To be absolutely honest with you that's going to be my choice cos I want to be proud of whoever my wife's going to be.

I would choose brains. When we're old and wrinkly at least I would have someone to talk to about anything. And we (I know it's debatable) spend more time wrinkly then young. Long run, brains is better.

Sorry, this is a silly question. Of course a lot of men will say looks.. thank the media, they constantly drum our expectations of the opposite sex into us and often imply you can't have beauty and brains in the same court.. nonsence!

Looks over brains. Brains don't really mean much to me to be honest. I don't want to sit around discussing world events and current affairs, brains are boring.
