I have a 10week old kitten that was declawed and spayed 1week ago today. She now has a cold...runny nose, sneezing ect.. Do I need to take her back to the vet ASAP or will the cold run its course on it's own? It doesn't seem to be affecting her eating or drinking but she is sleeping alot.

LOL...hushnowju....you obviously don't know what declaw means...I guarantee that a cat would prefer a spay and declaw and living the life as a princess in my house over living the harsh sick life of a stray on the streets because noone was willing to do anything about it.

I would call your vet and ask since they know your kitty. she may need some antibiotics and it would be better to get them now rather than wait and things get worse. Prevention is alsways easier than treatment! Plus being sick (with her cold) can delay her healing time in the rest of her body. Hope she feels better soon.

Call your vet and explain the situation. The vet will tell you what to do. Keep a VERY close eye on her to make sure she doesn't get worse. She is probably fine, but at that young of an age you don't want to take chances.

Give the vet a call today and see if a revisit is necessary. They may be able to prescribe antibiotics since they just saw her recently.

If your kitten has a discharge(from her nose, eyes) then yes get her to the vet to be checked. Don't wait for the followup appointment you have set up.

Take her back now! She needs antibiotics. A respiratory problem is never a simple cold with a feline.

I'm very sorry you decided to have your cat mutilated. Perhaps karma will see to it that you get equal treatment for what you've done?

Why don't you take your kitten to the vet unless of course you want to her suffer and die from pneumonia now?

Oh, and please don't ever have children. They look so strange running around with their fingers cut off to the first knuckle.
