Some people who are bipolar can take their medication and lead perfectly normal happy lives...others will be on and off medication....sick for period and well for periods....is this how you want to spend the rest of your life????...if it is like this now...it will probably get worse as the years go on..and yes he will lie and he will do other things that are bothersome and perhaps even dangerous....if you were smart, you would accept the fact that he will always have a place in your heart but that you deserve a better life and a partner who will be there for you always.....good luck

You say you love this man, but in your story I see, that you are also scared and that's not very good for a relationship, so maybe you should be apart for a while, after all, he did lie to you, witch is never good. Bi Polar is very hard and the person who has it, should take there medicine.
You should let him know, that you are scared of him and that you want some time apart, so he can clean up his act and then earn your trust again.
When you tell him, take someone with you, who knows about his problems and someone you trust. You see, you don't have to do this alone, and that you are scared is normal, I understand.

I wish you the best of luck and I hope it all works out.

I think what you are feeling is a deep sense of 'first love' syndrome, loyalty, and alot of pity. This is not love,or it wouldn't be so 'maddening'. Not the kind of love that your looking for or deserve, anyway. Stay friends, be there for him,(as a friend ONLY) and move on to a relationship you'll be happy with.

Honey, PLEASE get out now. I have a son who is Bi polar and he would have killed his wife and my grandson if she would have stayed around. Don't think your problem will go away and he will change. Just L E A V E.
