It doesnt make sense to believe in one or the other. Thats just a silly thought. I personally dont believe in any of it. That is just my view. I believe that when you die you die. Thats it. Maybe later something will change my views but as of right now the only thing I see that religion is doing in this world is creating chaos and madness. Why would I want to be any part of that. What is wrong with simply being a good person and living a good life with good morals? I do believe the Ten Commandments are a great code to live by. Just because I dont have any religion or believe in one specific God doesnt make me a hatefull or wrong person. It just makes me different from you.

Well, I am a non-Christian because I am Spiritualist but I believe in God and Heaven (or Divine Spirit and spirit world) but not in hell - so how do you work that one out. I think your question is rather confusing because you have aimed it at non-Christians on the assumption that only Christians believe in God - WRONG. God and heaven go together like a horse and carriage too, you can't have one without the other. Not sure what it is you are seeking an answer to - what is behind your thinking?

The concept of heaven and hell has been around a lot longer than Christianity or it's predecessor Judaism. Most religions have both. These religions may not believe in your version of God, but they believe in some version of God, Gods and or Goddesses.
Atheists will say there is neither heaven, hell or god, but few others will.

I do NOT believe in an omnipotent or omnipresent God
I DO believe in Heaven
I do NOT believe in Hell
The idea of Heaven was around long before Christianity, but Hell is a novel Christian/Muslim concept. There are many worlds and many existences in this Universe... and there are countless different interpretations of life here on Earth. I know that the Soul is immortal as nothing can be destroyed, only changed.
As far as "God" goes... I believe in a Creator - Nature. She created me and to her I will return, but she is absolutely nothing like the God of the Bible, and she cares not what my decisions and mistakes are.
The Earth just loves me... just like she loves the maggots that will one day eat me. I give her honor and praise, but I do not turn my back on her... she is Nature and one day I will return to her. No Faithe, just the Facts.

That would be more than a little illogical. Those who don't believe in any god (including me) are unlikely to subscribe to any belief in the concept of heaven or hell or life after death.
I suspect that the poster who claimed to have no belief in god but expected to go to heaven, was merely indulging in wishful thinking. It happens.

Someone who is a non-believer does not believe there is a god.
I am a non-believer. That means no god, no soul, (except as a poetic concept) no afterlife, no heaven, no hell.

there are none of the above. I'm an atheist, we don't believe in heaven, hell, or god.
In fact, I can't think of one single group that believes in heaven and hell, but no god. So who the heck are you asking this question to?

Do you have small pets ie hamsters, I believe that we are like hamsters, God feeds us and provides everything we need but when he puts his hand it it gets bitten so he doesn't.
So just because God dosen't show himself doesn't mean he isn't there and he has to live somewhere, ie Heaven.
