Is there any free software for it?

You can't.

MP3, wav and wma contain (typically) two channels of audio data. This could be anything - a song, the sound a drill, white noise, screaming... etc etc. MIDI files contain _note_ data. You cannot convert from a waveform to a note that easily, particularly when there are lots of different instruments playing at once. (Apart from anything else, what "note" is a glass breaking, or a screaming child?...)

Although your human brain can pick out an individual sound in a sea of noise, writing a program to do this is almost impossible. Trust me when I say plenty have tried - and all have failed.

Open the file & go to save as, find the place where mp3/wav/wma & click for the options. You know the rest!

You will need a converter software.
Such softwares are easily available at www.download.com
www.softpedia.org
You might need to install some plug-ins
dBPowerAmp is a good software but it is 30 day trial software then you need to buy it.
