I know spicey foods act as an anti-depressant but in a strict health view is it good for you or not?

there is nothing wrong with spicy foods if they have less salt and Red chili in it.. in fact many spices prevent cancer producing factors and trigger happy hormones just like chocolate. it also clears nasal congestion,plus green chilli's are the highest natural source of vitamin A and vitamin C

Spicy foods are good if taken in moderation. Too much spicy food may cause ulcers. But recent studies show that spicy food may have the following good effects too : capsaicin can be used to fight pancreatic cancer, Cayenne and chili peppers can help to reduce cholesterol, In some cases, spicy foods containing capsaicin greatly reduced pain caused by headaches or osteoporosis.

spicey foods make me sweat...i guess it's not bad...i'm letting some toxins out of my body.

When in excess, they could be harmful i.e stomach conditions. But in reasonable helpings, could actually help in metabolism, as in losing weight, keeping a certain weight. Also keeps you 'regular'
