rip them off fast pain is over fast pull them of slow pain will last longer
bandages are not made to put on open wounds a dressing is applied first

You don't put the bandages straight on the wound. You should use some form of padding to cover the wound and then keep it in place with a roller bandage.

Soak the bandages with sterile water and remove gently once fully soaked. Do not rip them off rapidly as suggested-this will cause removal of whatever healed tissues have formed in the wound and it may also cause the wound to bleed again.
