I think you should say that you have a crush on your brother's friend .
Anyway if you really think you feel for that guy and you want to tell him about this ,it's better to tell your brother before he finds out himself ,he might get mad but he would be more upset and angry if he finds out later from someone else .

Depends on your culture.

Bring up the topic of your brother's marriage. Tell him as his sister you should help him find the right girl. Ask what kind of girl he likes.

Then say, you also have to help me decide.

Tell your brother that someday in the "distant future" when you get married you think you would like to find a guy (get starry eyed)...I don't know, but you can find someone like him (his friend) for me, that would be nice. He is a gentleman."

Of course, that makes it easy for him since he already found him! But not as easy emotionally depnding on his nature. It could be good or bad.

End it there. Step 1.

Wait and see. He may joke about it to his friend and then you got your message through. If not joke about it when you are all together and the friend smiles at you ("Did you tell him what I told you about him that I liked him?! You DID! Then why is he smiling like that at me??!!")

If the friend responds then let your brother know, but you can play it down and joke, and say that was sweet.

Go slow and let the family digest the idea. If they violently react then back-off. Don't make any moves.

If the boy makes moves show your family that you are not against him, but don't show too much eagerness either.

Be "cautiously optimistic". If you move recklessly they will get angry and resist to protect you.

You shouldnt move recklessly anyway. Go with their process. At least now you have a prospect.

Let your family involve the other family and the boy for meeting, association, chat, etc. when it comes naturally. If it works then engagement and marriage will naturally follow.

It could work out. Go slow. Be careful. Don't do anything reckless.

You know these people better, so if you are not confident in the above, then don't do it. These are just ideas.

Protect yourself at all costs and use your common sense.

Good luck!

You are not falling in love. You are not even in a relationship with his friend. You are just infatuated. You should not send texts anonymously; it's very immature. Just be honest with your brother; his friend will find out shortly after that. ...Because I'm sure that your brother will tell him.

sounds more like lust not love. It's very easy to confuse the two. Anyway, if your brother is gonna get mad then always remember, blood is thicker than water.
