Okay this worked for me does not mean it will work for you. I met my husband of 10 yrs on the internet and we are as much in love now as the day we met. We met in a public place and we spent every day together as he was layed off at the time and I owned my own business. I was from Canada and he the USA. We married and live a wonderful life with his kids and my kids. But reality is there are very real nuts out there and one has to be very careful. Do your job of investigating this guy and make sure you never meet with him unless you have a friend there to back you and it is a public place. Also remember people tend to not tell the truth about there selves on chat lines and a lot of them are married and just looking for a good time. Be very careful and wise. Here is wishing you the best.

Sure it can happen. You aren't dating the computer, you are dating the man on the other end of the computer. Although you have to remember that many people don't respect an online relationship nearly like they do in person so it can be a risky roll of the dice. For one thing there is never a responsibility to be honest and faithful. Or at least there is no way for you to ever know the truth about if they are or not.

Talk on the phone ASAP.
Meet him sooner rather than later, otherwise expectations will be developed and you'll both not be what you thought you were. If you live far apart, make sure to be ready to compromise on distance or at least bring it up early in the game.
If you are in the over thirty crowd, there might be a stigma about meeting people online. Or in my age group, the under thirty crowd, some people see it as dorky, but I have online friends that do and do not fall into that category.

True love needs no faces. It is very possible to find the person of your dreams online but this day and age it is also possible to find your worst nightmare. If you feel strongly about this guy, try meeting him in a public place with a friend or two by your side. He'd be less likely to go mental on you.

Anything can happen. The internet may be deceiving at times when it comes to meeting someone but you'll never know if you don't do it. There's a lot of lyers out there but again, you never know if you don't take the leap!

You have to look at this realistically, if you live close enough to have an actual relationship then it might work. If he lives on the other side of the planet then it isn't going to happen.
