what causes pimples in a teenager?Is it dirt?hormones?genes?

Hormones produces excess oil on your skin, so you have to wash more. Dirt and oil produces pimples. Junk food (besides chocolate), especially coffee increases the amount of pimples you have.

Overreactive sebum production... therefore, mostly hormonal patterns cause pimples. Sometimes genes have a little bit to do with what kind of skin you have too. But dirt is NOT a reason for pimples in teens.

In a teenager, it's hormones. You see more teenagers with bad acne than anyone else, and it's more likely hormones than anything else. There are some medications that can lessen the outbreaks if you have really bad acne, but you're still going to get pimples.

some teens don't get them because of their genes.
Plus, not only teenagers suffer from acne, some adults do as well.

BTW, the factor of oil, T-zone and dry skin plays a rule in that. most commonly the oiler the skin the more the tendency to breakout

WELL, IT IS ALL HORMONE RELATED , OIL IN THE SKIN AND IN YOUR PERIOD THAT CAUSES THEM AS WELL
