Should I even bother saying "excuse me" if I let one go during the conversation?

Oh I do this all the time and no one ever knows. You gotta do what you gotta do! Sometimes you can't end the call because someone is yakking your ear off. Some people just can't take the hint when you're trying to get off the phone, and sometimes nature is working urgently and you just have to get your behind to the toilet!!
I do have one friend though, any time I talk to her on the phone while in the bathroom, I tell her and we laugh about it. It's just an inside joke that every time she calls, it's inevitable that I am going to be on the toilet and vice-versa. So, now we just 'fess up that we're doing our business and we laugh about it!

How would the person on the other end know U were in the bathroom? R U going to tell them, "Hey I'm taking a dump while I'm talking to U". I don't think so. A lot of hotels have a phone in the bathroom. No worries.

I don't think it's inappropriate to talk on the phone while using the bathroom, although it is a bit funny.

I think it's very inappropriate. No one wants to hear that. The conversation can wait, either ask the person to hold, or ask if you can call them back.
I cringe when I hear a toilet flush when I'm on the phone with someone.

Yes,it IS very rude to use the phone while on the pot . No one wants to hear you grunt to "fire the missile". Or better yet,to hear the "stream" hit the water at the bottom of the bowl. The one that gets me is when someone will actually try talking to you with a mouth full of food on the phone. I get to hear the "goop du jour" sloshing around with saliva in their mouths.

Ask if you can call them back really quick. There's not much that can't wait the 3 minutes you're in the bathroom.

Just cover the receiver when crapping and/or farting. They don't have to know you're in the bathroom! Wash hands, then flush- and run out! Works every time...

the person on the other end of the line might hear an echo thoughtout the call + other bodily noises...i wouldnt do it, but if its an emergency i guess its okay, but still its nasty, i wouldnt wana talk to someone while ther in the middle of ther business,... imagine the call.. so gal what ya doing?.... im pooing... sounds dodgy

Farting/ Pooping over the phone is as offensive as doing a number 2 while answering online questions.

I'm not big on arbitrary etiquette. I do what I want, when I want...within reason of course. I'll take a dump on the phone, sure.
