adolf hitler was a brought up catholic, then he became a christian. he believed in "positive christianity"
Positive Christianity is a term adopted by Nazi leaders to refer to a model of Christianity consistent with Nazism.
Adherents of Positive Christianity argued that traditional Christianity emphasized the passive rather than the active aspects of Christ's life, stressing his sacrifice on the cross and other-worldly redemption. This they wanted to replace with a "positive" emphasis on Christ as an active preacher, organizer and fighter who opposed the institutionalized Judaism of his day. At various points in the Nazi regime, attempts were made to replace orthodox Christianity with its "positive" alternative.

yes, hitler did believe in social dawinism[struggle for survival between the different races, among which the "Aryan race" was supposed to be the torchbearers of civilization and the Jews as enemies of all civilization. Whether his anti-semitism was influenced by older Christian ideas remains disputed.] no matter, he WAS christian. he firmly believed in positive christianity. so far it seems to me that alot of the christians try to deny that he was a "true christian" or even chrstian at all when history doesnt lie.many of you seem to "know" that he wasnt "really christian" because well...hes hitler...but any other religion can go horribly wrong as well. many muslims dont agree with the whole "down with america/freedom" terrorist acts. but some fanatics do believe in the terrorist acts. it really depends on the time, the place, the people, and what drives them. hitler used both darwinism AND christianity.
my point was dont deny it just because it makes your religion look bad.

Brings to mind the proverb about removing the log in one's eye before removing the splinter from another. Christians just pick and choose what the want to believe not only from the bible, but from recent history as well and that's just sad.

That makes no sense. Jesus was a Jew, and He did NOT oppose the Jews.
Hitler was not a Christian. This is evident from his actions, and the fact that he dabbled in the occult. His beliefs were more atheistic, whether he was raised Christian or not.
I can claim all day that I'm a tree. Does that make me a tree?
Perhaps Hitler DID claim to be a Christian. Perhaps his Nazis did as well. Does that mean that he was, and that they were?
NO.
A Christian is defined as one who follows Christ's teachings. Did Hitler and his cronies follow Christ's teachings? NO, they most certainly did NOT.
Therefore, not Christians.

My friend, Hitler did NOT know God and he was NOT a born again child of God. He did NOT serve Jesus Christ - his actions were clear about that. He may have been brought up as a "Christian" but he did not KNOW God. Here:
There are 2 types of Christians - those who have been brought up Christian or those who merely go to church on a Sunday but have not had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ and do not KNOW God. These give Christianity a bad name because they call themselves Christians but do not serve the Lord. Then there are those of us who are born again Christians and who the Lord slowly changes and delivers and begins to turn us into what He wants us to be - an image of Himself.
There are many, many people who have been brought up very very badly in God's name and they do not know God. If they did, they would not do the terrible things they do.
Please, please understand the difference. Born again Christians are NOT religious. Christians who do not know the Lord ARE religious. God detests religion because He wants us to have a personal relationship with Him.
Hitler was also steeped heavily in the occult - and this goes against the Lord.

absolutely the bible would not say all sins are equivalent. that's why some are referred to as abominations. The confusion comes from a incorrect interpretation of a scripture which says in case you destroy a regulation you've damaged the entire regulation. for this reason the theory that each one sin is equivalent. yet evaluate it this way. Breaking a regulation is breaking the regulation as an finished. In different words even if we do a small sin we've damaged the regulation as a hollow. yet another connection with no longer all sin being equivalent is there are some sins considered unpardonable.

You said Hitler was brought up Catholic, First mistake, He done just what the Catholic Church did in the dark ages, Killed people, Then you say he became a Christian, No he did not, a true Christian will NOT try to wipe out all the Jews, as Hitler try. God said to whom that will bless Israel God will also bless them, But to them that curse Israel God will also curse them. & I don't have to go to any web-sites to understand what Hitler did.

Many people use the name christian , it is widespread all over the world, but that in no way implies that they are following Christ or His teachings. Jesus said many things like "You will know them by their fruits". To even look at the life of Hitler and suggest that he was a "Christian" is not even worth consideration.
1 John 3:7 Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; 8 the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.

First off it wasn't true Christianity for God command Christians to love the Jews. Next they used the excused about being opressed to go attack and murder innocent people throughout eroupe. Murder is taught to be a sin in the Bible. So I think we can agree that it was ture Christianity. I think you should read the book "Jerusalem Countdown to War" from John Hagee he explaines exactly what you are asking.
Just because someone claimed to be something doen't make them what they say...

Where are you getting all your "information"? Hitler had long abandoned his Catholicism by the time he became chancellor of Germany.
And millions of Christians were also persecuted, arrested, and even sent to die in concentration camps -- not just Jewish people.
Hitler was more of a believer in Darwinism than anything else -- that, more than anything else, fueled his belief in certain races being better than others.
