to me english sounds really plain, in french there are many different sounds, italian and spanish impress with fast talking and all those three languages are kinda "multicolored"... when you hear english you hear the same sounds thousand times but no exceptions. of course english sounds interesting (it did especially when i didn't understand any word) but there is a difference.

considering English is unquestionably one of those extensively spoken language, people discover it primary that non-community audio gadget convey their very own accessory into it. the element is, individuals infrequently ever study a distant places language adequate to talk it and that they on no account fairly attempt to pronounce appropriate. they simply take it with no attention, the incontrovertible fact that all people could communicate English. and then there is the previous stereotype approximately individuals being properly... no longer very clever.... yet one greater reason must be vast emmigration from international in direction of the U. S. and people coming lower back to thier community united states of america after some years and having a daft accessory and pretending to have forgotten their very own language.

My wife is German (she is fluent in 4 languages), and she told me that to her English was the ugliest sounding of all languages. She said that when she started to learn it she could not understand how people could appreciate a poem in it, it all sounded horrible to her.
But so does standard German to me.

English is prosodic - the meaning is not inherent in the words (Campared to Mandarin). Its beauty lies in the context e.g. words spoken in anger sounds ugly - loud in intonation and harsh and sharpish in alliteration.
