1. Use a detangler spray and then comb out your hair
2. Use a wide toothed comb and slowly remove the knot when your hair is wet.
3. Cut the ends of your hair
Do any of the above three.

How in the first place did you knot your hair to this extent?! Please use a conditioner after shampooing your hair each time in the future, if you are already not doing it. If you are doing it, change your conditioner to Pantene or any really good brand.

Buy Johnson's Detangling shampoo-the kind for kids and shampoo your hair with that. Then use spray leave-in conditioner such as Johnson's. Load up the tangled part w/that and use a wide tooth comb or pick to work it out. Please do not use a brush! Be patient as it will take a little time and effort. This is what I used on my oldest granddaughter when she only brushed the surface of her hair and had a HUGE tangled mess. Her scalp is sensitive and I had to find a method that she could deal with. As a hair stylist and instructor, I have used this on kids numerous times with much success! Good luck!

supposing eur a gal, go get some olive oil, rub it onto your hair and run your fingers thru it to unentangle it. baby oil would work as well and when i mean olive oil, it means the special type you get from a hair shop, not the cooking ones.
