Could you tell me please what interesting sites to see in Peak District? Are there good walks to do there, where? Do I need good shoes?

Yes, you'll need a good pair of hiking boots.

There are a number of great walks. I recommend the hills around Edale, a small village in the middle of the Peak District. There's rail access to it, and there are a number of wonderful B&Bs there. Also, if you're feeling extra adventurous, you can start you walk on the Pennine Trail as it starts in Edale.
