Skipping a meal is not good, especially if you are not 18 or 19 yet, because your body is growing and requires as much nutrients as it gets. So 1. is a no no, just try to eat meals with minimal fat, salt and sugar. Eating less junk food, try to eat no junk food, only if you can. If not, try to minimize it to 3 serves a day. Smaller meals, a bit of a no no as well, eat until you feel that you've had enough. Don't eat a bit, and stop and you're still hungry. Carbohydrate is a type of energy, where it is designed for you to use it up immediately. So, you could eat a lot of carbs and run 200m, and it's all gone. Fat on the other hand is a type of energy where it is only used when your carbs are used up. So, you gotta run until all your carbs are out then your fat would start burning.
It really depends on what exercise. If you don't want muscles, just walk and do aerobic exercises (like exercise bike and stuff). Or, simply walking. If you're not going to do any exercise, then you have to fit at least 10,000 steps a day to keep healthy.

Never skip meals.
Eating less fattenning food dosen't mean that u shud eat only carbs.
Eat more proteins n fibres than carbs...
If u exercise n gain muscles its very nice. It dosn't mean that its unhealthy.
Gaining weight due 2 muscles is nt bad rather if u increase ur tummy n gain weight instead is very bad n unhealthy...
I dnt think u will gain weight by exercising bcoz d fat in ur body already present will b used 2 generate exergy 4 exercising.
U will lose weight n gain muscles, ur net weight will remain d same or decreased bt not increased. It can increase only if u build ur muscles by lifting very heavy weights n take dietary supp. with it......
I feel that more effective method is as follows:
To lose weight:
1. Go 4 jogging daily in d morning.
2. Do regular exercise.
3. Hav control on diet.
4. Avoid oily junk food.
5. Increase ur activities.
6. Never undrgo dieting.
JOGGING
Daily jogging is d best thing 2 loose ur weight.
Joggin shud b early in morning, in places where therz less pollution is preffered.

3. It helps 2 increase height.
4. It keeps ur skin free of acne.

The only route 2 permanent weight loss is a combination of exercise and diet.
Very low calorie diets or fad diets tent 2 lead 2 d yo-yo phenomenon, in which people lose weight, then quickly regain all they've lost and more. The additional weight is often even harder 2 shed.

Ok, first off - don't be concerned with pounds. Your weight is not a good indication of how healthy you are. I've heard that many pro athletes are very heavy, and would be considered morbidly obese by any other standard if they did not excercise as often as they do.
Secondly - there is no "most effective" way to "diet". All diets fail. What people need to start doing is going on lifestyle changes, and stop 'dieting'. Your diet is what you eat every day of the week, every week in the year, and every year for your life. It is NOT what you eat for three weeks until you drop off that last two pounds, and then you go back to eating Oreos and MickeyDs.
If you want to BE HEALTHY, then you should do this:
Drink water. Lots and lots of water. It is the only drink you should be consuming daily.
Eat lots of fruits and veggies.
Eat many small meals. The whole "three square meals" thing is bad for you, since your body tends to use up what it wants, and then store all the extra calories as fat to be used at another time. Instead, you should be eating small amounts of HEALTHY foods whenever you are hungry. (And by healthy, I mean natural foods like apples and yogurt, not those shitty 100 calorie snack pack things)
Don't drink sodas and most juices.
AVOID artificial sweetners like the plague. Speaking from personal experience, they make my monthlies living hell.

Get enough sleep

There is only one way to lose weight! Burn off more calories than you take in. This time last year I was 270lbs, now I am 215. You need to calculate your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) and then count calories. counting carbs will work in the short term, but you will burn all your muscle away as your body starves itself. Carbs are good you need them. You just have to stay away from simple sugars like white bread, white pasta, and potatoes.
Also excercising will make you gain muscle mass, but a pound of muscle takes up less space than a pound of fat. My wife has gained 5lbs of muscle and has lost 2 dress sizes. So dont be concerned about the number of pounds you are, just how you look in the mirror and what size clothes you wear.
Also remember this one thing "You are going to go to sleep hungry!!!!!"
that was the hardest thing for me. Do what you need to fill your stomach. eat celery or carrot sticks with nothing on them. drink a gallon of water a day. drink V8 juice, low calorie smoothies work great.

I wouldn't skip meals, and honestly, you're not going to put on much weight by lifting weights, unless you are hard core, into steroids and all the other supplements that are on the market.. Eat less junk and substitute it with healthier choices. Smaller meals are easier to digest. Lots of cardio will burn calories and strengthen your heart, building muscle will allow you to burn more calories at rest..

eating less with muscles building excer.reduces weight .your muscles will be in shape not enlarges it take many time to be hypertrophied running and muscles building excersizes with less carbohydrates and fats although u can take protiens such as egg white meat and also enjoy the less sweets fruits. u will loose fat and weight after that u can increase ur muscles with doing same excersizes with more eating....running for 30 minutes thrice a weak with normal food even helps in reducing weight about 7 kg in 5 months.

Out of all of those, skipping a meal is a bad idea. All the others should make you lose weight. Unfortunately, as I well know, it is far easier said than done. I need a personal trainer or something, because without willpower, all the above is void!
