Ask Bush,.. he keeps cutting things,.. people can't have a job,.. a couple months later they are homeless and suicidal/homecidal/ criminal for survival.
He had people released from mental institutions and prisons and at the exact same time crime went up noticeably in my area. Those people couldn't get jobs,.. the shelters were let out and shut down or those certain people were not allowed in (I think they had something where you could only stay in a shelter for so many days for a while).

I personally blame the Republicans. I know the are up to no good. Excuse me I veered off course, It's because we do not have enough people to care, we are always looking out for number one. Not enough jobs that pay a decent wage. Because all those small business owners like to live richly in their exclusive community. Never mind their employees don't have health care. People have to choose between heat or food.

there are plenty of people who try to help homeless people find shelter and food or just food if they have housing ,by donating time money and food to various organizations and still more is needed due to layoffs wage earning below the cost of living and some people just wont ask for help when it is needed food pantry's are running low because it seems inflation has hit everyone and people cannot donate what they have in the past .rising gas prices and food prices and energy (electric keeps going up. And minimum wage stays low making it harder for people to make ends meet .living pay check to pay check with nothing left over

I think a big part of the problem is that our government is too concerned about helping other people in other countries to notice all of the poor people in their own.

The U.S. has a bad habit of trying to help everyone elsein the world whether they deserve it or not. If the U.S. were to pull out of the United Nations, then the money from that action could feed every poor person in the U.S... In other words, we can't get our priorities straight.

same reason for all other countries in the world. people. tons of money and food are sent from all over the world and the people in power take it and dont share. you want to make sure everyone has all they need, change the system around the whole world.
