If I had breakfast before going to work, I will feel hungry by about 11am +/-. It would be those damn hungry situation where occasionally I would even feel weak. I quite sure its not psychological; I can even feel my fingers trembling sometimes.

However (here's the irony), if I don't take breakfast, I won't have such a situation; I will only be hungry at about 12+ to 1pm, and its not even as bad as compared to having breakfast in the morning. In fact I can even go without lunch until I take a small bite at 3pm!

Why?? Anyone knows...

You must be having a small breakfast then. It starts the works going in your body and it long for more food as the earlier meal wasn't enough.

Do try to eat more if you want to eat anything at all, because breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

I am quite concerned that you do not have breakfast and eat your lunch at 3pm; either you will have indigestion from the sudden influx of food, or you will have binge eating. Try to eat regularly at fixed time slot, doesn't have to be big meals, but regularity is the key.

Food consumption 2 hours after waking up causes your metabolism to start that day. Although you may end up feeling hungrier than if you don't eat breakfast, it is better for you to eat after waking up. Have a light but filling breakfast and take a snack to work, and eat it around 10:30 so that you don't get the 11 p.m. hunger pangs.

I would recommend a snack like a cereal or granola bar, along with water or a juice box. It will be low in calories but help keep you full before you get your lunch break.

You know, I have the SAME exact problem. There are days when I can go without food until about 5-6 PM, but if I eat as soon as I wake up, I'm hungry again within the hour.

I think it has something do with your metabolism realizing that food is plentiful, and therefore your body uses up what you feed it instead of using the stores of energy.

You get hungry because you already ate, and your body knows (or thinks it knows) that food must be nearby, and it wants you to keep eating while the food is still there. When you don't eat, your body doesn't know if food is even available, so it doesn't really send you any signals to eat.

Depends on what you eat too. If you eat a big breakfast then your body for some reason reacts by getting hungrier. You have to eat small meals every 2-3 hours. I went to a dr. for this. I get dizzy and nauseous if I don't eat regularly. Are you female? Dr. said it's hormones.

you should have a big breakfast as your metabolism works alot faster in the morning...that why you get hungry quicker.

i get that to and its just because your body digests it alot faster.

a friend of mine whos a personl trainer always says you should eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. ie large medium and small
