get all Her friends and relations together It would be a show of solidarity of how you all support and love her , throw a big bash to remind her what home is and who loves and is waiting for her when ever she gets the chance to come back , Being away from those that you have shared your life with is the hardest part of a tour of duty, so let the girl know that you are all there for her and thinking of her .

Throw her a surprise party,i agree with some of the replys you have recieved, your daughter might jump out after basic but does that matter you'll wish you had thrown the party if she decides to stay.

second the 'not all are lesbians'some yes but not all

i wish your daughter all the best for the future

Good on your daughter at least shes gonna make something of her life, not like some of the lazy louts on benefits. I,d have a get together to wish her well and invite all her mates. Don,t worry not all lasses in the forces are gay either.

Yes, throwing the party iplies that you love her (which I am guessing you do) if you support her joining the army than tell her so EVERYONE like feeling supported and desires the trust and support a parent gives, if you dont support her joining the army than, well I wouldn have any advice for you I mean its her choice to make....hmmm...

i would do that on her first leave because 3 months in training barracks can change a person dramatically and she might just want to be home and shut the door

Yes, throw a surprise party. Plant mines in your front garden and have her walk through them. Good training for her in advance.

If you think it is a good thing.
Actually I'd save it still she gets a promotion as she may bomb out after basic training
