The tea has been kept dry in storage, out of exposure. It's the powdery type with little sticks. I am wondering if anyone might know if it is dangerous ie. for mold, etc. to drink? It seems to taste fine but I'm just not quite sure.

Tea bags that expire?
I don't think so!
The only difference might be that the taste is slightly (if you happen to notice) different, but there are no risks in getting sick or that the tea goes bad.
Enjoy your mate tea!
