I dont take being called closed minded as an insult. I know the truth, why open myself to attack?

Satan attacks our minds, where Jesus works on our hearts. I'm keeping my mind SHUT and my heart OPEN!

Jesus said "Open your eyes and your heart....not your mind" I feel He said this so we would find Him, not all the junk of the world. Nor the tricks of Satan. Satan can only get to our minds, not our heart. An open mind may find alot of great information, many theories, many wonderful conversations. An open heart will find Jesus.

So is your heart open....or your mind?

Blessings
David

I am a Christian and I beleive I have firm convictions about repentance, faith, Jesus, the Last Judgment and all that... But I am not "closed minded" because I do like to find out why people from other religions think and beleive as they do. And no - I cannot say that I have ever been tempted to believe as they do no matter how sympathetic they make me feel or no matter how "logical" their beliefs are within their own system. There is some good and some truth in almost every religious system.

If you ask me...you should open your mind too, which doesn't mean that you have to question your beliefs, as everyone has the right to believe in whatever they want; just open your mind and read, listen, learn more....refusing to communicate, and share knowledge with people who have a different point of view isn't any better than what the Church did in the past burning books, ancients scrolls and texts of wisdom, and just means to be haughty...by the way, isn't haughtiness one of the seven capital sins?;)...reading and learning can't harm my friend...an open heart belongs always to someone who has an open mind too;) Peace.

You are not alone. God is a very narrow minded God. Jesus is the Way, The Only Way to the Father.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Extremely narrow minded wouldn't you say?

The mind had always been the devils playing ground so better keep it shut from all the influences of the world.
We believe with our hearts and not minds. The mind has always been satan's gateway for making Christians doubt God's word.
God bless

I am a proud Open-minded Christian. That does not mean that my heart is not open at the same time. So, your mind is closed to new ideas and possibilities? I find that kind of sad, i almost pity you. No offence intended.

David I see where you are going with this, and maybe this isn't the place. God says speak the truth in love. It is with gentleness in mixed place like this it could cause people to stumble. You love the Lord, I can tell and you have a passion for the apologetics, seek God, seek gentleness. They will know we are Christians by our love, cool song, old hymn redone by Jars of Clay check it out. As Christians we mustn't attack anyone with the Word of God,(previous post from another person) or stir up strife. I am saying this with love as I know God is moving in your life and He will use you continue to submit to Him, He does have His hand on your life. I don't disagree with you at all, I just sense some defense that is not needed. Seriously keep up the Faith and keep letting God just move in you, I love to see your fire.

Get a psychological evaluation (if you're not too scared of real science thanks to whatever church you attend's brainwashing). Believing that there is an entity called "Satan" that influences humans, or that you can somehow "find" someone with your heart that, if he even ever existed, has died millenia ago, is not sane behavior. So get some therapy ASAP or you will die as ignorant/schizophrenic as you are now.
