Yes it does but not as much as coffee or tea. I taught substance abuse many years ago and my students were frequently surprised to find that chocolate contained caffeine and that they had probably started their baby's addiction to caffeine at about 6 months of age when they had started giving them chocolate buttons. Icidentally, it only makes you sleep at night if you make it with milk as it is the serotonine/melatonine boost provided by the milk which helps not the cocoa.

Yes, it's got about 4 mg/cup, it does not say in the ingredients because the caffeine is not an added substance, chocolate contains caffeine. By the way, white chocolate also has caffeine (15 mg/ounce) dark chocolate (35 mg/ounce)

A hot chocolate has no subtance of caffeine in it. It is made up of coco powder, sugar & milk

some do, & some dont, just look at the boxes, I just recently got swiss miss mil choclate hot coco mix, & it says on the box NO CAFFINE! You cant even tell the diffrence either, wich is good, my son loves hot coco, & I know I can give it to him & not worry about him driving me nutty
