Choose some of your favorite artist and listen to the words of the songs. If the songs repersent how you feel about your husband/wife then include it into the playlist. A good idea would be to include various types of music to appeal to all of your wedding guests (no more than 15 songs if you're making a CD as a token).
Some of my favorites are:
Eta James - At Last
Shania Twain - From This Moment
Luther Vandross - Here and Now
Kenny Chesney - You Had Me At Hello
Billy Ocean - Suddenly
Celion Dion - Because You loved me
Tim McGraw - It's Your Love
Elton John - Can You Feel The Love Tonight
Michael Bolton - When a Man Loves a Woman
Natalie Cole - This Will Be An Ever Lasting Love
Aerosmith - I Don't Want To Miss A Thing
Eric Benet & Tamia - Spend My Life with You
Lionel Richie - Truly
Good Luck!

elect a number of your everyday artist and pay interest to the words of the songs. If the songs repersent the way you think of approximately your husband/companion then contain it into the playlist. a wedding playlist so include you and your partners song, possibly it may even be the first dance if appriotate. It should include songs which you and your partner sing to each other, or when you hear them instantly think of one another. Hiya
Our first dance was I Knew I Loved You by Savage Garden - the words are fabulous.
On my wedding DVD we had the songs:
For Once in My Life - Michael Buble
The First, The Last, My Everything - Barry White
You're Just Too Good to Be True (dont know the artist)
You're in My Heart - Rod Stewart
Baby I Love You - (dont know artist)
Madness - It Must be Love
Kiss Me -Sixpence None the Richer
You and Me Song - The Wannadies (nice to finish on)
Other good ones to consider are:
Amazed by Lonestar
From This Moment by Shania Twain
Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden
Crazy For You - Madonna (a bit unusual but powerful words!)
Hope that helps - good luck!

First off its your wedding, the music must reflect the tastes of you and your partner. Secondly remember you need to cater for lots of different tastes and ages.We thought about the different types of music we wanted to incorporate then chose our favourites from those categories before planning a playlist that started slowly then moved onto more upbeat things. Each section was about half an hour long and we tried to blend it so it fdidn't seem to disjointed. We both love rock music but saved the heavier stuff until after the more elderly guests had left. The music started with our first dance which was a jive so we had an hour or so of fifties music followed by older music before progressing on to more contempory stuff. We thought that although a lot of songs were considered to be romantic they didn't suit our tastes, personalities or the atmosphere we were aiming to create so we searched for songs that were more to our liking but had equally beautiful words. Instead of Celin Dion (my idea of musical hell!) we had the super furry animals fire in my heart, love song by the cure & everlong by the foo fighters, I was made for loving you by kiss. I suppose what I'm trying to say is be orignal and remember the only rules are those you and your partner agree on but your guests have to listen to it too so be a bit mindful of what you chose. Lots of website has unusual suggestions for wedding music which I found quite inspiring.

Definitely pick music that you love.
Personally i think Al Green's "Lets Stay Together" is a great song.
If the music is for during the meal keep it chilled out and relaxed and then hype it up in the evening with some swing or something to get everyone up and dancing.

Personally I would steewr clear of the classics and find songs that mean something to you and your partner. My wife and I had "Finally Found" by The Honeyz which is a really upbeat love song.
Good Luck
