Last year I lost a 27 year old friend to suicide. In the past I'd thought about ending my life, but after losing him and feeling that pain and seeing so many other people in pain... and we are all still in pain... I could NEVER do anything like that to my friends and family. It is the ULTIMATE selfish act!

Please refer to the above website if you are thinking about killing yourself.
If a job's the wrong one for you, then it can be courageous to meet your own needs by allowing yourself to stop working there. I really think so.
You can live a lovely life on 90K or even much, much less. Don't worry about that. It's worth a lot more than money to have a job you love, that does not make you anxious and depressed!
It's true, btw, that relatives and close friends of suicides suffer very, very much--my BF is the son of a man who killed himself and that was years ago and he thinks of it daily, and he misses his father terribly, and he gets depressed sometimes and says he's going to kill himself "like his father." Every suicide makes the next suicide more likely--studies show that relatives of suicides are more likely to commit suicide themselves.
Go find a good therapist and talk out your fears and worries. Bad times pass, but you can't undo a suicide.
Good luck. You deserve it.

You are not selfish. When I was very depressed and attempted suicide, I was not being selfish. I was too ill to think clearly. I loved my family (I only had a brother, sister, nieces and nephews) and did not want to hurt them, but felt I could not go on any longer.
I hate it when people tell depressed people they are being selfish. Depression is an illness. You can get better. Please talk to your family and see a doctor. You can feel better.
Good luck to you.

Good thing about money, it's not worth a thing when you die, so dont worry about how much you make. Money cant buy happiness. Cliche, but true. Want another? Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Talk to your family, the people you care about and that care about you.

Very selfish. You end up leaving the people who love you in a state of confusion & grief for many years. They will blame themselves and it will cause devastation in their lives.
For your sake and theirs go talk to a doctor about your problem. There IS help you just have to want it. It is there for the taking.

suicide isn't the answer for your problems... you're not the only one who suffers from anxiety and/or depression, you're not alone. you're not being selfish, but you DO need to deel with this. There are ways to live again, you just have to find them. It's different for different people. There are people who love you, and there are people who care for you.
