Some Christian women are oppressed, but I don't think it's true that they all are. I will say, I used to know a woman whose alcoholic husband beat her, and they were very fundamentalist Christians, and she would go crying to the minister, who told her many times to go back and try to be a better wife so her husband would stop drinking and hitting her. I think that is very sad! She really tried hard to be the kind of wife her church approved of, but he still drank and he still kicked her around.
She stayed with him way too long (IMHO) because of that; however, one day he got drunk and lifted his hand to their daughter, and that day she took her little girl and left. She is still a conservative Christian, but she found a new church where they do not tell women to stay with men who hit and hurt them.
Even though very, very few Christians believe in actually beating women, certain kinds of conservative Christians do not believe women should be treated equally to men. IMHO, beating or not, that's oppression. But not all Christians believe in that. Some believe in equality of the sexes. So no, not all Christian women are oppressed.

If a man beats his wife, there is a major problem. This is serious oppression.

Christian women ARE oppressed. The very first thing they're taught is that thier bodies are the vessels for temptation, and they're being punished for Eve's sin.

Those specific women are oppressed. However, there are places those women can go to get help. All they have to do is call thepolice. Where can a woman in Iran or Iraq go if her husband is beating her?

the bible does not condone beating your wife. and i don't know one person who condones wife-beating (i really don't know any men that beat their wives though) by using biblical verses.

I have been reading your questions, and you can not POSSIBLY believe that muslim women (in muslim countries) have the same rights and freedoms of those in western civilizations. It is OBVIOUSLY not true
