Hi, I wrote a guy an e-mail and haven't heard from him yet. IHe works as an accountant at a bank and is on frequent business trips. At times he works over time as well, so his work can keep him very busy. I don't wish to be rude or pushy. In order not to be either, I'd like to ask how long should I wait before dropping him a few lines if I don't hear from him soon. Your help is greatly apprecaited.

How long has it been? I think that since he works a lot and is out of town, then a week to a week 1/2 is the most I would wait. That seems like a long time, but sometimes time just escapes some people. If you don't hear from him, try giving him a call. Good Luck.

If this guy is a friend - anything up to 3 weeks.. lol.. if this guy is interested in you - 2 days at the most, and he should answer. if this guy is very busy, give him an extra day or so... And don't drop him a line again - pick up the phone and say hi - that way you can talk about what's on your mind, and assess if he really is busy.

I suggest that you give him a simple "hi there" e-mail maybe you could give a little hint that maybe the reason why he's not giving you time of day i because he's busy...if after 3 days you dont get an e-mail, I suggest that you stop expecting receiving an e-mail from him, but remain friends. Its sensible enuf that you don't wait around for him, but at the same time, civil enuf to remain friends.

You should forgive him. Accounting people are really like that. They are engrossed with counting other people's (or company's) money and forget about other things. They even look for missing 1 cent when creating balance sheets. If they don't find that, their job isn't done yet. Be patient. Maybe he's still looking for that missing cent!

Wait about 5 days (I know it sounds like a long time). If there is no response send one more e-mail. If no response then stop.

If you've already written to him and he hasn't replied to you, you shouldn't wait anymore. If he liked you, he would've replied back to you already, if that's what you are asking. Move on and don't invest anymore of your time on him.

give him 48 hours....if still no reply, that means he's either not interested in you or your business..
