Let me try to explain it this way. I am 44 the woman that i have been seeing is 27 i met her when she was 24. . I know she cares a lot about me because I give her something she has never had' Stability. She has had a hard life. It caused her to mature early. She has been on her own since she was 13. I said all of this to say this. You never know what somebody is looking for. I don't know the guy and what he has been through. You might be it for him.If i were in your place i would give it a try just where i would know. If it works' it works. If it doesn't' it doesn't. Take a shot and see.

Don't turn it down just because of the age difference.
Try it.
If it works for both of you, then it's OK.
I dated a girl that was 24 when I was 48.
It didn't work out. The main reason was that we were into totally different things, talked different versions of English, didn't want to watch the same TV shows or movies, and had nothing in common.
But I tried it and it might have worked.

One issue that really matters are your goals and maturity. Most 19 year olds do not know what they want. On the other hand, you are probably set in your ways. I do not see this as a lasting relationship unless you both have similar goals in life other than the relationship.

Would you support him through college?
How do his parents feel about the relationship?
Were you married before?
Do you have kids?
Would your kids respect him?

What do you want? Do you even know that? If you want a 19 year old, you should go for it. If you want something else, you shouldn't. And don't think this is going to blossom into a long term relationship with wedding bells at the end. The 19 year old wants to get laid. He knows exactly what he wants. What do you want? Figure that out, and you'll be fine.

Ask yourself if he would want to date you in ten years and if you would be comfortable with that. Ultimately you have to make your own decisions as to what you think is right/
