There's this guy i was pretty sure he likes me. We are colleagues & pretty friendly with each other. I've been waiting for him 2 ask him out, but he hasn't. So, i decided to make d move. I asked him 4 a date, but i was afraid he'd turn me down, so i told him i was not going to accept no for an answer. He said he'd come pick me up at 3pm. On d day, i wait till 3.30pm to call him to find out if he was still coming. He picked & told me he'd call me back. He called 15 mins later 2 say he was in the office, working. If we could postpone to 5pm. 5.30pm he was nowhere in sight, 7 had not called. I tried calling him, he didn't pick up. By 6.13pm he called me to tell me he was still busy, & would call me back in 20 min. He never did. When i got to d office the next day, i checked d log book & discovered he came to d office by 3.35pm & left by 6.10pm! He lied to me! I'm angry! He came later to say he was sorry. At 1 point, he knelt down in front of d office, but i'm still upset. Why did he lie?

Because you said you wouldnt take no for an answer. Thats no way to make a date by making someone feel obligated to go out with you. It was a cheap lesson that didnt cost much to learn. You came on too strong and domineering. Guys do not like that.

Because he had something else going on and didnt want to hurt your feelings...and obviously your feelings is what he was thinking about. He probably had some other crap hit him at once that you wouldnt have thought was acceptable in gibing you the ditch for the evening...so he lied Im sure if you give him a second chance he will make it up to you. keep him knelt down by your desk and see what happens.

sometimes you just can't force someone to like you. Pasonate relationships are not easy to build, you just gotta take your time and analyze your objective and judge when the time is right to ask him out on a date, what you did probably scared him, sure he really friendly with you but you gotta keep in mind he is probably friendly with you as a co worker, so take your time and anylyze, that way you don't have to make a mistake in the future.

If he couldn't make an effort to be on time for your first date will he ever think enough of you later on you deserve better let some one else settle for second best . the lies just show that he is shallow and untrustworthy

Why did he lie???
Only he knows the true answer for your question,
Why don't you face him and hear another lie, ( his answer )....
we all lie for some reasons... Angels are only in Heaven..

You told him, "i was not going to accept no for an answer.". (Your words, not mine)

So he said he would and obviously he didn't want to!
