THE BEST BANANA BREAD IN THE WHOLE WORLD

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture; stir just to moisten. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 60 to 65 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean. Let bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.

One Egg Banana Bread
This banana bread recipe is easy, using one egg and one bowl.
INGREDIENTS:

* 3 large bananas , well mashed
* 1 egg
* 1 stick of butter, melted
* 1 1/2 cup of flour
* 1 cup of sugar
* 1 teaspoon of salt
* 1 teaspoon of baking soda
* 1 cup nuts, optional

PREPARATION:
Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl; put into a well greased loaf pan. Bake at 350° for about 60 minutes, or until a knife inserted in middle comes out clean.

Cream sugar and margarine, mash the bananas and add to the mixture.

Beat and add the eggs. Slowly add the flour, salt, and baking soda. Pour into a loaf pan.

Bake at 350 F for 30-45 minutes.


The only hard part of this easy recipe is waiting 45 minutes while the beautiful aroma tempts your dirty nose.

There is no "fat" in this and you could use egg beaters in place of the eggs.


1 loaf 1¼ hours 15 min prep
Change to: loaf US Metric
3 ripe bananas
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups flour
1/2 cup nuts
3/4 cup sugar


In glass bowl, mash bananas.
Beat eggs in separate bowl until light.
Add to bananas.
Sift together flour sugar salt and baking soda.
Add to banana mixture, mix until just together.
Fold in nuts.
Pour into buttered 9x5 loaf pan and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.

I've always used the one in the Betty Crocker cook book......pretty old one I'm sure! Doulbe the vanilla......add just a little extra punch....
