I worked removals for a year in my youth.
If you were impressed with their courtesy and professionalism, then enough for a pint each would be acceptable. They are only on daily labour rates.
They shouldn't expect anything, if they are any good. And large firms often don't distribute the tips.
If it's just a quick in and out, I shouldn't bother. Just a thank you and a smile, or a cuppa if it's a lot of stairs.
I organised one job myself once, and through an act of God the tip allowed me to break even. The client knew though, it had poured down all weekend and I had paid for labour and trucks to just sit in traffic for two days.
(they all say it's just a couple of boxes)

I agree with Simon. If they are courteous and go out of their way for you, even a small tip would really make their day. If nothing else, it shows you have a bit of class good graces, and it may help them have a little better attitude when they go the the next customer.

Removal men are traditionally tipped , like waiters.
However,if you cant afford it , they wont worry too much because many ppl wont tip them. Many oppose tipping on principle.
If they take precautions suck as minding your carpets, act professionally etc. then its worth a tenner if you can comfortably afford it.

No. I dont believe anyone should get tips, your being paid to do your job. If the wages are not enough get another job. If your going to tip waiters why not tip shop assistants or plumbers. What gets me is that you are surposed to tip waiters,,,, WHY .
Just keep the tea going and they will be happy.

From a personal point of view, I'd either give them a few beers (then you don't have to unpack them!), or give them a few quid, telling them to go to the pub after work. They all appreciate that...

Tipping is a tough one. Personally, I do not tip anyone. They get paid for doing their job.
