I have had several sebaceous cysts on my neck for several years now. I had them checked by my primary doctor and he said they were sebaceous and harmless but I want them removed. Obvoiusly, insurance doesn't cover cosmetic surgery so I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this procedure and what I would be looking at in terms of cost and recovery time. TiA.

btw..I have three small ones all in a 1 square inch area on my neck near my adams apple. maybe i get a proximity discount if I get all three at same time?

lol there is no proximity discount, you can contact a local dermatologist or surgeons office, cost will vary from office to office and region to region. What they can consider is to make one big incision in the same area and remove them all, if they decide to remove them. and then is a decision to send the biospy material for pathology and that has a separate cost issue, not all specimens are sent though, the operator (surgeon and dermatologist) decides based on a number of factors, good luck
