I paid $700 to get him out of jail. We're still unclear as to what that was for. He has a court date. Anyone had experience with this? Do you think he'll get any jail time for this? He's been at his job for over 2 years, those warrants were sitting there for 2 months or more we learned and noone ever contacted us.

if he was honestly ignorant that the checks were worthless then maybe he can get a break, but they move most of these along on an assembly line. no jail if hes got no or negligent record.

If you paid a "cash bond" you should get a partial refund, if you paid it to a bondsmen, he'll still have to pay the amount of the checks, assessments and fines or serve 3-4 days in city jail
if the prosecuter is a jerk, he can ask for up to 30 days plus a fine, or probation (bad deal) and a fine

I almost forgot, there's a fee for warrant prep and serving

The $700 was bail!
Whether he gets jail time or not depends on intent. If he wrote them with no funds in the account, he may get jail time

i don't know where you live but in arkansas you have to pay the amount of the checks $210.00 + $20-25 per check for a bank fee.
total= 250.00

plus a fine of 250.00 per check for violation of arkansas hot check law. $500.00

for a grand total of 750.00 plus warrant fees of 50.00 so that makes it a cool 800.00 roughly
