The eyes are indeed the windows.... The eyelids, are the blinds, or "curtains" if you will.... Some may even say, "veil".....
without eyelids, I guess the eyeball dries up and we do go blind... hehehe....
The "house" is the structure of the human body... ((It is how the mind interprets itself in society))
The door is the way inside the heart......

the chimney, is the passage way... it is the breathing apparatus of the house/body.....
The roof, represents our thoughts... it is our head.....

All the "rooms" within are like unto the "mansions" mentioned of God.... the rooms are aspects of the thoughts we hold at attention...... where we store our thoughts as to its significance....
the bedroom represents the place of rest, relaxation, and sexual appetite.....
the kitchen, represent nourishment for the soul...and the one place where we put out legal aspects on the "table"...
the bathroom, represents the place where we cleanse ourselves of troubles, eliminate what is not needed or unwanted, and we examine our thoughts carefully.......
The livingroom indicates how we are living our lives......
So.... If I say to you, "I dreamt that I was in my bathroom and I used the toilet, then saw my face in the mirror...." You should know that I just eliminated something from my life and have examined my thoughts about my actions........

Not quite right the eyes let in the light to the soul the light is most important so you can be blind but still receive the light as for the eyelids I give you 50% they sheid the eye lie blinds but do not stop the light hold a torch near your eyes with them closed the light still gets in .the eye lids spread a film accross the eye to protect them

Eyes are windows to the soul..when u look into someones eyes u can see their heart..their sorrow..their happiness..their anger..their love..their soul.
Eyelids has to be the blinds because u can close ur eyes when u don't want others to know ur feelings..just like u draw a blind over ur window to stop others from seeing inside

imagine if we all did not have eyelids, then we all would be blind from the glare of the sun, medically the eyelids cover and protect our eyes, spiritually, if u see something that u wouldnt like to see, instinct puts it to close :)
