i have heard this before, and yet it still amazes me.
animals are just that, animals.
if you are involved with an animal you should probably seek professional help. you can love your pets, but you can't be in love with them. that takes a human soul and mind. it has nothing to do with the bible and everything to do with common sense.

If the animal gives BJs, stays by the persons side, nods when, and only when asked if it wants to marry the person, sure. See the thing is that you can't really communicate with an animal and that is the difference.

Okay, now you're going twisting it. On this basis then we should allow anyone to marry anyone or anything regardless of race, gender, age and species?
Did it not occur to you that relations with animals are illegal as there is no true way to tell if the animal is consenting to the relationship or whether they've been trained to do it or are just acting on instinct.
Also there's a bit of a difference between someone who is attracted to the same sex and someone who is attracted to anything regardless of species.

Tell ya' what. Figure out how to get the animal to say 'I do' and you'll be onto something. Until then, it's really moot.

Alright, let's try this. Some apes have learned sign language. Let's just take a look at that big ol' forest. We get an ape fully capable, in his/her own words, of explaining the concept of marriage, points at a human, and says that's their fiance and they want to get married.
Fine. Both have proven themselves rational, both have proven themselves capable of understanding what it is that's going to happen and what is expected of each other, so be it.
It is never my place to judge two rational beings, regardless of origin of that rationality. If someone ever comes up with genuine machine intelligence, I will accord it exactly the same moral value I would a thinking, feeling human being.

You might have worded your question slightly differently - If homosexuality is allowed then why not sex between a human & an animal.
Taking the logic further - why not - Provided the animal is not put to mental or physical injury in any way (if that is possible).
As per the logic - When killing of animals is allowed - then what's wrong with a sexual contact with them.

Homosexual marraige (or any marraige for that matter) is intended as a union between two consenting adults. Since animals cannot consent to marraige between a person, I find it very unlikely that they would rally for that cause... shoot, most animals prefer to be left out of the "political" realm anyway.
This analogy is commonly used... but a weak one at best. But I'm sure if you put your thinking cap on, you can try and come up with something a little more realistic and not as lame... dust yourself off... and try again...
thanks for playing...

How is an animal the same as any human being? A marriage between two humans regardless of their sex is NOT even close to being comparable to that of a human and any other species of animal.
I truly hope you can understand this concept.

I laughed at the respondent who gave the 'stock' answer!
Of course it should be allowed, providing the animal was of marriagable age and wasn't just doing it for the hay.

let me ask you this... will you get an erection if i danced in fron of you(assuming we're both males)?...
could you choose to not get an errection if a gorgeous woman gives you a lapdance?
homosexuality is not a choice...
even national geographic has an article about this...
conclision: it's normal. and people should have the right to marry each other...as long as they are both mature mentally. animals are not humans...

Dear David. There is nothing wrong with being gay. They used to ban interracial and interreligious marriage. Why ban gays from marrying? There is no logical reason. People may have their spiritual beliefs about marriage and that is fine, but one must accept people for who they are.
I could marry my cat to a person, but she is already convinced that I am her older sister. She would hate me if I married her off and with her schizo personality, who would want her? Nobody gets my baby, anyway.
