I have some, but have lost the directions- how long do I need to hold them on a 'curl' for and any other tips please!

i think it is a real trial by error things and depends on a number of different factors including what sort the actual curlers are, the thickness of you hair, your type of hair, and the heat used
try doing one and if your happy then continue as you did for that one

it depends on the heat of the tongs, the thickness and length of the hair - also start at the top and wrap the hair around it -if you can - get a friend to help you because if you start at the bottom and roll up - the top of the head will look flat and the weight of the curl at the bottom will make it look uneven compared to the crown of the head!

It also depends on how much of your hair you intend to curl in one go

depends on the intensiy of heat.. there are some in which you regulate the heat.. 10-15 sec is fine

IT DEPENDS ON HOW GOOD THEY ARE, IF THEY GET VERY HOT JUST LEAVE IT IN FOR A FEW SECONDS. ALSO USE A HEAT STYLING SPRAY, THAT WILL PROTECT YOUR HAIR.
