I am a 24 year old software professional.
My hairline is slowly receding and I want to shave off my head completely bald instead of worrying about balding.Is it advisable?
Will it have any adverse effect on my career?
I am unmarried.Will I find it difficult to get a life partner with a shaved head because I have this fear that when a women sees the photo of a man with a clean dome she would reject him outright.Are my fears true?
please advice.

I say go for it! Shave it all off! If you have a receding hair line, it's only going to get worse and you will find yourself constantly looking in the mirror to see how much hair you have lost. As for the women, some like a man with a full head of hair and some like a man with little or no hair. It's all a matter of personal preference. I have shaved my head bald for quite some time, and I couldn't be happier.

I prefer men who go with the flow, in their hairstyle choice. It seems unconfident to me when a man tries to camoflage his baldness or receding hairline. Even a shaved head will show the receding hair line. It depends on the maturity of the women you are interested in, but it wouldn't be a make or break issue for me.

It would help to have a picture. Maybe your hairline isn't receding as much as you think it is. However you should go ahead and shave it only if that would make you feel really confident. It doesn't sound like it. I find a very close buzz cut (but not shaved right off) to be attractive and stylish looking on semi baldies.

I personally think bald is hot!! my boyfriend is 22 and has the same problem, receding hairline, but i don't pay attention to it. he has a big problem with it but wont shave his head. plus if u shave ur head women can rub ur head for good luck!! so if ur really uncomfortable then do what makes you feel more confident. it would be worse to have receding hairline with no confidence than a shaved head and confidence!! good luck! hope this helps!

Some men are very sexy with bald heads.... i.e. Vin Diesel, Chris Daughtry.... BUT some aren't. First of all you gotta make sure you don't have an "egg head" you know round and pointed at the top. Because then it won't look good at all... Have you stylist feeeeel your hair (hey a free head massage never hurt anyone) and see if she/he thinks you head will be a good candidate..

I am 32 and i am bald too, but only thing i got married at 25 when i was losing them at rapid speed. your fears are true, most women dont like bald men but there are many women who dont give a damn whether their man has hair or not.
Career wise, your boss will not count the strands on your head before promoting you. He will count on your hard work.
you have three options
1) go for hair grafting it might cost you 3-4 lakhs and done by salman khan, javed jaffery and other bollywood stars
2) shave off your head
3) apply minoxidil and take finasticide tablates to prevent further hair loss, BUT only after consulting your doctor.

well same problem here...infact i also posted almost same question.....but can guess wht response i will get after reading ur query.
neways..wht i will suggest dat receding hair line shld not b seen as sumthing serious issue..reason being..d more u think of dat d more u get tensed..n tension is one of d cause for hair fall..so frm dis instant only stop worrying abt ur hair line.
other thing i can say is dat instead of hiding ur semi bald portions wid sum thin strands of hair..which r left..just shave them off..or get a close cropped look..advantage wid close cropped luk is dat its gives u a more mautre look,n make u feel more proffesional (atleast luk wise) n gives a impression dat u r no nonsense person...n d ultimate advantage is dat u need not to worry to comb ur hair..wether u go to office staright out of bed until u have not washed ur face(lolz)....so at the end try to improvise ur whole look wid shaven off or close cropped look...n u will b rocking.
definately if u have the luxury of spending money on hair grafting then dat will b best soltuion...so stop worrying n keep rocking

I'd marry a man who's hair line is receding than a shaved headed dumb guy...
What looks natural is beautiful.

A young professional in a dress shirt, tie and bald head. Why would a woman refuse? It also looks professional. You wont get bed head either.

My advice is that you could shave it almost to the scalp- like a few milimeters of growth - but it really depends on if it looks good on you.
A lot of men look fabulous with shaved heads (a.k.a Bruce Willis)
