If it happened in a public place where you dont know anyone, just say excuse me or nothing and walk away. If it happened in a place where you know the people, Id still say excuse me. Hopefully they will understand that it is a natural thing, not always done on purpose and let it go. Ive never had this happen, but if so, Id probably turn so red, Id just walk away.

Quote: Say to the person next to you in a loud voice, "that's disgusting". Then walk away like it wasn't you. :End Quote
Thats so funny. Ive actually had someone do this to me!

Quote:Just say ... "It seems like it's going to rain. Thunder sounds too close!" Then, make ready your umbrella .... :End Quote
LOL That is halliarous! Great one! I wonder if anyone would fall for it though.

My goodness-
Well we teach the children to say excuse me if it is that bad and most of us know that these things happen- hopefully not too often.
If it happens a lot of course try to modify what might be causing it and if it is a real problem or you have this happen at other times with stomach problems. Go to a doctor. Alternative medicines might help as well.
Happy holidays.

Ask everyone in the room to rate it by sound and smell on a scale of 1 to 10. That should break the uncomfortable silence !

I know it's embarrassing and hard, but you'll forget it sooner or later. I once accidently dropped my skirt in the mall at a busy time of year. Luckily I had a slip on, but it took a little time to get over the trauma of it. I know how you feel but don't worry.

recover? Everybody farts. And it will slip out when it's ready.
Just be glad it wasn't the silent but deadly type.

I would say if you accidentally float an air biscuit, it is best to remove yourself from the situation as fast as possible. Making cat calls, whooping noises, sounds of applause or any further sounds or offers of condolence to the innocent parties having to endure your misfortune only draws attention to yourself.

look at your chair, suprised, as if it just squeaked as you were shifting your weight in it.

or immediately squeak your shoe against the ground and have it make a little farting noise.

i have a dog, so i usually look at him and say "Thor! Bad dog!"

if i can't keep a straight face, i just laugh if i'm with a close friend.

True story: a dating couple of my sister's acquaintance were visiting her grandchildren. She bent over to pick up one of the kids' toys and accidentally let one slip. Her boyfriend happened to enter the room at that point, and said, "Well, that's it. Now we HAVE to get married!"

She almost died of embarrassment, but had to agree it was hilariously bad timing!

And, yes, they DID get married shortly afterward!

If you are not around people you know, just walk away without saying anything. If you are with people you know, just say excuse me and go on with the conversation.
