It is my intention to make a study of it. I don't expect to become a practitioner but I wish to study it in a respectful manner so that I may understand what it is that Wiccans and Pagans practice and believe in. It's just ridiculous that people are immediately labeled as evil simply because they are not Christian. Evil is relative, much like one's own opinion.

Yes I wanted to make sure this is clear. I in no way meant that Pagans or Wiccans were "evil" I was merely referring to the distasteful manner in which I find alot of you treated here on Yahoo Answers. I vow to be courteous and respectful and grateful for anything you are generous enough to share with me.

hey WOW if you're so concerned about the plight of mankind then why are you on here, go out and do something about it and quit responding to questions you are not actually answering.

Depends on the Pagan or Wiccan you talk to.

Pagans are by Christian definition, anyone who is not Christian. This therefore includes Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists and thousands of other religions.

Wiccans are witches that have gathered together and have agreed to general shared beliefs, sort of like Christians did at the Council of Nicea. There are lots of books and websites you can go to where they describe these shared beliefs.

Many witches are not Wiccan, (and I must admit I know a lot of them, and they are all very nice people) but almost all agree the same thing, what ever else they believe in, be it in an Earth Mother, Avatars, multiple Gods, etc. And that is, If it harms none, do it. In other words, do what you will, as long as no one is harmed in any way. A far cry from the way most Christians believe, I'm sure you will agree.

That's a loaded question. Too loaded to answer here succinctly.
You can start with http://www.sacredhearth.com/Whatispagan.html
Then, you could find a local group that would let you observe them. I did a study of a local Druid group for college a few years back and they were very happy to let me. Check out witchvox, or do a Yahoo search.

Here is one of the best general information sites that I have found:
http://www.religioustolerance.org/witchcra.htm

And here is another that has several pages of information as well as a very active on line community:
http://wicca.com/

You can also find a lot of very useful information on The Witches' Voice:

Edited to add: To WOW... You are seriously misinformed. Please learn the truth about us before you condemn us.
