The 45-50 year olds I know still go to clubs and bars to meet people. If that is not your scene, partner dancing is a great way to meet people, especially salsa dancing. When you go salsa dancing, you are dancing the whole time, so no one knows whether you are there with girlfriends or not. So, you can go by yourself without feeling unsafe or awkward. Plus, people trade partners so much while dancing, that if you leave with someone, it is quite discreet because no one remembers whether you came with him or not. If you don't know how to do the kind of dancing you want to do, the clubs usually give lessons a little earlier in the evening. The lessons are a great way to meet people, too, since a lot of people come solo.

Perhaps you do well to explain in more detail what temporary companionship means.......sounds like a politically correct way of say phuck buddy...one night stand etc!
It would help to know where you are...they do different things in different areas toots.

most women our age are not looking for "temporary" companionship. check out a yahoo chat room in your state. you can probably find a "temporary" companion there.

most of the woman just convince themselves and keep going..but some women end up with some illict relations with a new,younger guy..But anyhow the new guy is going to screw them well and leave after some time..anyhow they feel good for the new experience they had..
