Just like the French Foreign Legion (La Legion Etrangere) and when they finish their four or five year contracts, they and their families are entitled to full American citizenships. They do a couple tours in Iraq and earn the right to live here.

It would give recruitment a boost, as well as appease some labor groups that want amnesty for illegal immigrants. Afterall, soldiering is a job that Americans "don't want to do."

We already have a few foreign legions with soldiers full of Mexicans. They are called the United States Marines, the United States Army, the United States Air Force and the United States Navy.

Do the foreign legion part BUT send them back into Mexico to patrol the border on the Mexican side, eradicate the grafty Mexican "police/army", the coyotes, drug runners and smugglers.
At the end of their tour hand them cold hard cash--enough to build themselves a house,raise a family and let them get hired as tele-marketers by US firms. (long distance rates would be cheaper from Mexico vs Pakistan/India to US...
