i am extremely particular about virii and other malware on my system. i suggest kaspersky 6 over and above every other antivirus.
reasons- it lighter on system than others, has exceptionally high detection rates, leaves absolutely no junk when you uninstall it, updates every 2-3 hours [a major plus point] and is easy to use. trust me, this is one single antivirus present in world which makes me feel that good programmers do still exist in world who can make light yet super efficient antivirus programs. in contrast, mcafee and norton, the goliaths of antivirus are riddled with their problems, and the david of kaspersky beats them.

if you want a free version of kaspersky - try AOL's active virus shield - it's kaspersky but just rebranded.

Probably the best anti-virus out there at present. But I have never used it, just heard numerous people praising it!!

Great program, but... make sure you're computer can handle it... if not it will lock up your system
