http://www.motorex.net/skyline.html is still active, they do conversions to make the car legal to register in the US. Check with them. But they only do up to the R34, the last year i believe that was made was 2002. No sense in importing a 2003-2005 as we have them here already, they are Infinti G35's. The R35 GTR has not been released yet anywhere it is due to l go on sale in Japan in Fall 2007. U.S. and Canada will follow in Spring 2008

Illegal almost everywhere in the USA. Check with Customs. Post bond value of the car get the emissions and certifications done -100 hp -$1000's of dollars. Get headlights seat belts door beams and bumpers reinforced. Then drive a very dangerious to pass right hand drive car. Or buy a new 300 hp 350Z legal everywhere and full factory warranty. Besides No Nissan Dealer will touch a Skyline. Cannot get parts or service information

Take the engine/trans/ecu out of it...ship it to your address in the States.
Then ship the actual car to your address as a kit car.
Put it all back together and there ya go....Skyline in the States.

its pretty much im possible to do so since motorex went under and with all the criminal activity they were supposedly involved in.
its a lot easier if you are stationed there and own the vehicle. but to just bring one in is almost impossible.
i say almost coz you can go to the dept of transportation website and find a link for car importers.

It will have to shipped via container ship. Then once it gets here you will have to make sure it meet's U.S. emissions standards which is going to kill the HP of the car. You will have to install catalytic converters.
