almost everything in this universe came from something else inside, for example the trees come from seeds which come from minerals so "god" didnt create them. you can trace everything back to something from within the universe of course except for the universe itself. of course christians will have a problem with the earth being created like this but if you take a look around at other galaxies you wont see any gods creating those planets :D

And speaking of creativity... (and of something completely different.)
-------------------------
"All Things Dull And Ugly" from Monty Python's Contractual Obligations Album
All things dull and ug-ly,
All creatures, short and squat,
All things rude and na-sty,
The Lord God made the lot.
Each little snake that poisons,
Each little wasp that stings,
He made their prudish venom,
He made their horrid wings.
All things sick and cancerous,
All evil great and small,
All things foul and dangerous,
The Lord God made them all.
Each nasty little hornet,
Each beastly little squid,
Who made the spiky urchin?
Who made the sharks? He did!
All things scant and ulcerous,
All pox both great and small,
Putrid, foul and gangrenous,
The Lord God made them all.
Amen.
-----------------------
This is my impression of the discussion which will ensue as a result of this question:
"Cus He did..."
"Did not."
"Did so."
"Did not."
"Did.."
"Not.."
"Did, too"
"Nope."
"Grrrrr....!!"
(((( r u randy? ))))

God created the earth and every thing in it but natual it self has its ways of devlovping , ex god created the minerals that makes the seeds that made the frist trees or he made the trees and now poeple buys seeds to plant them, but when it comes to flowers god created the frist ones or the seeds for the fist ones and the seeds blow around and grow where ever they land. He Created the frist animal or animals then they reproduce and made more but of corse some are dieing out and he created every thing even the universe . He created the very frist sorce of every thing . With out him we would have nothing and we wouldnt even be here cause he created humans witch reproduced but not all but most of humans do. humans didnt just apear without being created . Iam a christain and I hope this helped u

1. Because to believe we were created by accident is morally offensive.
2. I don't know about other people, but I know what I believe. I believe that God created possibilities for endless creation. The 'Big Bang' was God starting the process here, for this universe.

Very interesting observation indeed, Mr. Red Eyed Agnostic!
I appreciate your ability to "look around at other galaxies" but did not see God.
When did you do that? The fact that you saw only "planets" in those "other galaxies" proves that you haven't even been to the moon, which is still a part of this earth, or a satelite orbiting around the earth.
Satelites have been made by a great number of highly educated scientists with the help of sophisticated precision insruments of high technology. After years of experimentations resutiing in trials and errors, finally they were able to to send those tiny objects orbiting around the earth. Some of them have fallen back on the surface of the earth, the ocean or disintergrated in the space in entry. The rest will be doing the same thing.
If you don't believe that those satelites and sputniks must have intelligent people who designed and made them and sent them orbiting there. do you think it is logical to think that trillions or even uncountable numbers of stars, planets, moons (satelites) meteors, asteroids and all other celestial objects up there moving at staggering speeds but constantly and precisely on their orbits without failure like those tiny made made satelites and sputniks could have been there without a more inteligent and powerful maker?
That sounds funnier than to hear a frog looking up into the airplanes flying in the sky and saying to his fellow frogs: Those are there because of coincidence or chance. They just happened to be there without any maker.
I am sorry if you have tried your best and see no evidence of a super inteligent being who designed and created them. But to me and many others have to agree with the the Psalmist, king David who said in Psalm 19:1,2 "The heavens declare the glory of God;
And the firmament shows His handiwork.
Day unto day utters speech,
And night unto night reveals knowledge."
Take this tiny planet of ours which measures only 40,075.02 km on its equator and orbiting at the speed of 39,600 km/h, weighing about 6,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (six septilliion) kg, and has been doing that for thousands of years, at least without stopping, without failing. And you think it just happen like that?
Man, I think you should open your eyes wider, or study more, to reach a better conclusion than that.
But of course, I have to repect your opinion for whatever value it has.

some people assume that a god created everything because they believe in this god and they believe in this god because they were conditioned from childhood to believe in this god without questioning the merit of this belief. Its brain washing, not sensible knowledge.

lol It's because they want an easy solution. Of course, when faced with masses of intellectuals like us and with nothing more than a book of fairy tales to "support" them... well, humans get stubborn. And that's okay! I, an atheist, also become stubborn at times. HOWEVER, I do have a problem with so many of them turning to drugs, which are the main source of their delusions.
