i do great on my diet during the day...and exercising. once night hits ...its all out the window. ill eat dinner eat something sweet but small like pudding.. and then i cant stop eating. i try brushing my teeth and i resist giving in for a while but it doesnt work. i cant help it. why is it that i ruin my entire day of eating good at night??? im not hungry.....is there anything i can do???

well try eating fruit or if your working out a night time protien. Your carb crashing its really common for people dieting or calorie counting. Its also what makes almost all diets fail. 12 hour protiens are great too cuz thats when your body heals from your workouts at night (REM stage of sleep to be exact) so with an elevated amino acid and protien level your going to get more out of your workouts. Plus the protien gives you a full feeling. Eatin fruit just fixes ur carb cravings with the simple carbs from the natural sugar.

I had the same problem. I always want something sweet and nothing hit the spot.So now I drink an extra glass of water when I want to go grab something, and reach for the hard candies or hard mints. It helps a lot,@ least Im only blowing my diet 5 calories at a time =)

Try not eating the small bit of something you like. Better not to taste it at all. Just makes you want more. keep yourself busy at something that takes your mind off food. When the thought comes about wanting something, start thinking about all the exercising you are wasting. Try popcorn, Not as many calories and fills you up faster.

try drinking water or herbal tea. it will make you feel too full to eat anything else. also find something else to do...call a friend, read a book, spend time online answering other people's questions on yahoo :D!

if all else fails lock yourself in your room and try to get to sleep!
