if the trees have branches why do banks have one if they dont have any leaves..

2) For the first usage: A branch is a part of a woody plant such as a tree, shrub, or vine. It is any woody structural member that is usually connected to but not part of the central trunk or boughs. A branch supports the terminal twigs, which in turn support the leaves.
For the second usage: Branch (banking), a retail location for financial services.
3) It comes from Hamburg, Germany:
In Hamburg it was common to put a piece of roast pork into a roll, called Rundstück warm, although this is missing the "essence" of the modern hamburger, which is ground meat. Yet another theory however states that also in Hamburg, Germany, meatscraps, similar to modern ground beef were served on a Brötchen, a round bun-shaped piece of bread. It is said that German immigrants then took the Hamburger to the United States, where the bun was added, creating the modern Hamburger.

Banks without branches are like trees in the winter time. They don't have branches either.
There is no ham in the hamburger because its named after Hamburg Germany and has nothing to do with ham the meat.
