I would just like to say that I got mine done when I was 16 (for my bday in April) and I took really good care of it and I was able to show it off. I live in South Texas so its always hot here. And I agree you only live once do it and if you dont like it you can take it out. Make sure that you keep it clean and make sure that you listen to what the peircer tells you to do. They know they are the ones that have made a profession out of adorning bodies with jewelry. one bit of advice is when you get pregnant take it out so it doesnt stretch the hole, and after you have the baby you can put it right back in.

I just would like to say that almost everyone on here didnt answer her question they all said dont get it thats not what she asked. she asked about when would be the best time to get it. Sheesh people are always trying to push their beliefs in any way.

Go for it and enjoy your youth.

I have my belly pierced twice. once on the bottom and once on the top. each on of them took over a year to heal. If you are a fast healer then get it dont around early August that way you have plenty of time, it really doesnt matter when you get it pierced. One i got done in the spring and the other in the fall so it is up to you. If you do get it done in the winter or any time of the year you really have to make sure that it doesnt get caught on your clothing or anything cause it does hurt bad.

I got my belly buttom pierced in july 2006 and it is not fully healed yet. I say the best time to get it pierced would be around fall. When I got mine done I was advised that it takes at least 6 months to fully heal. Get it pierced with a circle ring and not the half moon ring. The half moon ring tends to get stuck on your jeans zipper (ouch!). I think you should do it. You only live once =)

anytime of the year will work but keep in mind it can take up to 8 months to heal depending on how well u take care of it...belly button piercings can get infected really fast and become harsh if u don't take care of it right. if u do get one make sure u wash it 3-4 times a days with anti bacterial soap that has no scent to it and keep triple antibiotic ointment around the holes. oh and if it does get infected try using sea salt ( u can get it at any grocery store) and water works wonders.

I dont know if this happens t o everyone with a belly piercing,t it took me 4 months for it to finally heal.It got alittle infected and I was told to use bactine, tea tree oil,and neosporine. To heal it,and never rubbing alcohol, because it would cause a keloid.BUT,nothing worked until I used rubbing alcohol and the infection went away within days. And I never got a keloid. So try the spring.

i would go for fall winter time cause if you do it in the summer you have to wait for it to heal if you want to go swimming or stuff like that get it done during those times so it has time to heal cause likely if you are getting it done you will be showing it off in the summer time. winter / fall good time.

i got mine pierced in january and by the summer it still had a weird bump on it but after putting sea salt on it and going in the ocean, it cleared right up. i'd say sometime when its cold like winter or spring so u give it time to heal
