It is all the same question over and over. Then prove why person one is smarter than person two.

If you are tired of this, tell me, what country you are from, and other catagories that you frequent other than R/S

Can't we all get along?

It seems to me that the intelligent design answer to the evolution question is irrefutable. It simply says that design in the universe is undeniable. The law of cause and effect says that wherever you find design you must have a designer somewhere. Since the cause must have everything the effect does and the effect(the universe) has intelligence, the cause(the designer) must also have intelligence. So you need an intelligent designer of this universe. But who could design a universe outside of a God. You call Him whatever you want to call Him. I call Him a God. That refutes evolution since evolution says that everything came about by random chance. That argument, it seems to me, is irrefutable. The only way around that argument is to deny design. If you read Richard Dawkins two latest books('the blind watchmaker' and 'the god delusion') that's exactly what he does. He denies design. He says that there's no design in the universe, just the "appearance of design". But that's insane. You just can't logically and realistically deny that there's design all through the universe. It's all around you. You have to be blind not to see it. There are branches of science that basically just study the design in nature.........scientific disciplines such as nano-technology and bio-mimetrics. These disciplines study the design in nature.......whales,bats,dolphins have sonar.......and try to create machines that mimic that design. Everywhere you look there's design. Where there's design there's got to be a designer. That's just common sense. Creation is not an unproven theory. It's a common sense fact that we come to by just using a little logic and reason.
Paly's argument of the 1700's still holds today. He said that if you are walking through a forest and you find a watch sitting upon a rock, you have 2 possible explanations: 1)It was designed and built by a watchmaker 2) It came about the same way the rock that it is sitting upon came about.....by random chance. Which explantion makes more sense?

I just read that the numbers were crunched mathematically and the difference between "evolution" and "creation" for the age of the earth, is the equivilent of someone saying the distance between San Francisco and New York City is 737 feet.

That is so amazing.

But yeah, I tend to stay away from evolution questions when possible. I find them boring. I'm from the USA and I pretty much answer questions here (but I like ones about morality and history better) and also answering general quesitons. Cheers :)

I'm tired of people trying to disprove Evolution when, from one glance at their question, it's clear that they are not versed on the subject. The fact that mammal fossils are never found in the lower regions of the fossil record should be proof enough for anyone that Evolution is a fact. All the fossils in the fossil record are exactly as Evolution claims they should be. More and more complex life forms show up as you get closer to the Earth's surface. There is no way to explain this if you believe in Biblical creation.

I'm tired of evolution questions and I haven't even read one... the mere thought of another creationist vs evolution argument is mentally exhausting! Anyways I'm from New Zealand, and I don't usually frequent this category... it's usually either the science/math one, or else random one's when I see a question for which I think I may have something to offer, or polls and surveys and the like when I'm bored!

I'm from the United States, which means I'm smart AND I know it! I frequent the general pets category, where I answer countless questions about guinea pigs, because much like this category, it helps alleviate boredom.

In other news, I sadly cannot get along with you, as slavery was abolished many many years ago in this country.

And to think I still have a 14% best answer rating with all these smartass responses, eh?

Although I tire of them, I somehow still feel the need to respond and try to educate people, since I see the decay of the American educational system all around me (especially in science). Just for the sake of it - if someone has an advanced degree in a subject, their 'opinion' in that subject should count more than someone who has never taken a course and gets all their info on the subject from websites and books that are out to destroy it.

If I was tired of the debate, I would go to a section that was less controversial. Repeated questions can be frustrating though.

I do find it funny that creationists rarely post their q's simultaneously here and in the biology section. Now that would be a show.

I'm in the US. The Deep South, actually, yay. I usually hang out here. Every now and then I get the desire to visit pets, books, and music.

Every now and then I search for q's about piano, because I play. Piano music theory q's don't come up nearly as often as they should...

Education. Science and Math. Entertainment.

What people don't realize is Evolution is a VERB not a NOUN.

Why do they keep thinking Harvard gives degrees in Evolutionology!

I follow the Dalai Lama's stance on the matter: What is the point of figuring out how we got here when we *are* here and there are far more important things to do?

I'm in the US. I go from here to Mythology & Folklore, Hobbies & Crafts, and Books & Authors. (Because I read fantasy books while I knit, that's why.)
