I would make sure I have a backup of my system first and then either use Nortons uninstall or add or remove programs. I have uninstalled it and had no problems, and when I was asked about removing files that may be used in other programs I did not delete, my system works fine. Good Luck

It will remove all programs related to norton such as anti virus firewall internet security and the such. Will not mess up anything not related to the norton software. Just uninstall and setup your new software. You could aslo call Dell and ask them believe they have a 24hr hotline.

With a dell, there is a hidden system restore partition, so if you do mess it up beyond bootable. You can enter the hidden partition at boot and restore all the original factor settings.

>>>WARNING<<< This will remove all files you have created since you bought the computer. if this is only a few days old no problem, if you have had it a few months, maybe it is best not to mess with a working system.

It is refering to the other norton programs. If you wipe it out, you can just wipe all of them out. Dont worry about it. Question for you though, why are you wanting to wipe out norton antivirus? That is the best one out there.

That's a warning that you don't have to put TOO much thought into. What it's saying is that some programs MIGHT share the same files (usually they don't...make that they almost always don't). It will be fine uninstalling it, you won't screw up anything.

as long as you remove Nortons through Control Panel> Add/Remove Progs then you will be fine
Wise move to remove Nortons it will really slow down your pc!
Have fun with your new pc:)
