Well being that is has been four months the grow out should start to show on the roots. I recommend that you go to a stylist who uses Japanese straightener products and have them retouched it as well as the strands that are unstraighten. This won't damage your hair to much just make sure to use a low pH shampoo and conditioner in other words professional products.

I've got my hair straightened too. it's about 4 mths ago n its started to wear off since the 3rd mth. it actually depend on the nature of ur hair. my hair is quite curly so it wear off sooner. u can straighten the top part but not whole cos this will cause ur hair to split n break (even worse if ur hair is colored/highlighted)...n u might look like wearing a wig. make sure u apply treatments often to restore the nutrients n moisture for ur hair. u can also apply serum after u washed ur hair, especially at the end of ur hair. that's the weakest part. hair at the top part is the healthiest as its new grown hair. my hair stylist used to advice me to straighten my hair only once in 6 mths. so u hv time to let new hair to grow n cut those chemical treated hair. if u're too worried of getting it straighten now, may be u can get a quick fix by jz tying it up...u can find lots of tie-ups over the net. u'll have a new hairstyle everyday.
That's all. Hope it helps ^_^

Oh yea I have gotten Japanese straightening. It does wear of because the chemicals are wearing off. I am not so sure about straightening your hair because there are so many side effects if the chemicals are not fully gone. My best friend used to straighten it and a lot of her hair is damaged. Ask any a professional at a salon,a lot of them know what Japanese straightening is (aka permanent straightening if they do not know what Japanese straightening is). Do not straighten your hair without asking anyone. I would not want your hair to be damaged.

I got a straight perm on my hair too, but it didn't wear off in 4 months. It lasted me a good year (it could've lasted me longer, but my hair grows fast). I got it done the second time already. You could straighten the unstraighten parts or your whole hair. It won't do anymore damage. But I recommend you don't do it often. This is my second time and I'm not going to do it again. My hair is thinner than before and my hairs falls a lot (but my hair would fall before that). I say don't do it often; let your hair grow it out and let it stay for months. Hope this helped you! BYE!

it will probably cause a little damage to your hair. nothing major, tho. women go out and get their hair repermed usually every 3
months. so i think you are safe by now. i get my hair permed
every 3 to 6 monthhs . it just causes a little dryness here and there.....so i wouldn't worry, ok ????
